Behaviorally Trained Providers Can Assist Health Centers to Deliver High-Quality Primary Care

Three-part series: March 10, 17, 24 - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This 3-part webinar series will show the benefits of behavioral health instruction in community health centers (CHCs) for highest level of care.  This series will help participants understand the rationale for integrating behaviorally trained providers into primary care, as well as how adopting and assimilating the philosophies of high-quality primary care, a single-session mindset, and a functional contextual approach can create an environment in which behavioral health providers radically enhance primary care delivery. Assumptions will undoubtedly be challenged, and fun, interactive conversations are sure to emerge during this presentation.

Part 1: High-Quality Primary Care: The Foundation for PCBH
What does high-quality primary care actually require, and why does it demand behavioral health integration? This session reframes PCBH not as an add-on service, but as a natural extension of whole-person, accessible, population-based care in community health centers.

Part 2: The Moment-at-a-Time Mindset: Being Radical with PCBH visits
PCBH works when we stop thinking in terms of episodes of care and start thinking in terms of impactful moments. This session explores the power of the single-session mindset and how intentional, focused interventions can transform both patient outcomes and clinic flow.

Part 3: Function Over Form: A Functional Contextual Approach to Primary Care
Moving beyond diagnosis and protocols, this session introduces functional contextualism as the philosophical backbone of effective PCBH practice. Participants will learn how focusing on function, context, and workable change allows behavioral health providers to enhance primary care in real time.
