Popular Education in Action: Training CHWs through Dinámicas

October 21, 10:00 - 11:00 AM

Join the Association & Everyday Life Consulting for this session to equip community health workers with concrete tools to deliver engaging group education using role-playing and dinámicas! You will get a chance to practice facilitation techniques that honor adult learners as experts, creating space for shared teaching, dialogue, and mutual learning. Walk away with ready-to-use activities, strategies for building collaborative spaces, and hands-on experience in fostering dynamic, participatory sessions where everyone learns from one another.

During this training you will:
  • Define Popular Education and describe its core principles, including dialogue, co-learning, and autonomy.
  • Recognize the role of dinámicas as tools to energize, build connection, and deepen learning in group settings.
  • Experience and reflect on at least two dinámicas, identifying how they can be adapted for different contexts.
  • Apply Popular Education strategies by designing a short learning activity or discussion using dinámicas.

This training is for Community Health Workers, Population Health, Outreach, Enrollment, Navigators, Clinical, and Quality Improvement. Please contact Patricia Gepert with any questions.
